Suguicay island is also an ideal place to break away from the modern environment of the city as it takes pride in its nature and rustic feel, all of which are evident and felt throughout the island.  As we drew closer to the island, we were astonished at the number of Mangroves covering and coconut trees the almost entire island as if there is no place to land at all. The island of Suguicay can take on several beach activities like Island hopping that visitors enjoy most. From Bulalacao Bay, there are motor boats which can be rented for a day’s travel going to these islands depending on the capacity of the boat and the distance of the islet to be visited. And picnics with your friends and families,

This island located at Bulalacao Oriental Mindoro.It is a 10-15 minutes ride from Brgy. San Roque to Brgy Bangkal or Brgy. Libtong for another transportation going to Suguicay Island it is another 10-15 minutes of boat ride going to the Island of Suguicay.

Suguicay islands are generally safe during the southwest monsoon months as long as you take off from Brgy. Bangkal or Brgy. Libtong. However, if you are like us who went to Suguicay from Brgy. Bangkal, expect the biggest waves you can imagine during the rainy season.

The island offers cottages for the visitors for only P300.00,  and Floating Cottage  is for only P500.00 .And Suguicay island is offering  kayak rental for you to explore the water on a different perspective and they have . a sari-sari store for your basic needs, a place where you can play volleyball and if you want to stay overnight, they also have rooms for you and your friends to stay.

Suguicay Island is truly an amazing place to visit with your family and friends. It’s beauty indeed reminds us that we are truly blessed to have this kind of place here in Oriental Mindoro, something that we should really be proud of.

How to get to Bulalacao

Bulalacao is accessible via land or air. Flights from Manila to San Jose, Oriental Mindoro are offered. From San Jose Airport, you can ride a bus bound to the municipality of Bulalacao. On the other hand, you can also choose to ride a RORO Bus in Cubao. These buses go directly to Bulalacao via Batangas Port. Travel time takes 8 to 10 hours. This will take you to Calapan Port, Oriental Mindoro, where you can ride a van or a bus to Bulalacao.
